Meet the Attorneys

Michael Studtmann

Michael has been practicing since 1985 in Kansas Courts. He is also licensed to practice in the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals since 2008. He is an active member of the Wichita Bar Association where he is chairman of Lawyer's Assistance. Mike has served 2 terms with the State Board of Lawyers Assistance in Kansas and have been a past member of Inn of the Court also with the Wichita Bar Association. Has He has also been teaching lawyers continuing legal education for the past 20 years. He represents Kansas Lawyers in matters of professional conduct. Mike  practices with his brother John in general practice where he enjoys an active practice in criminal law. He has practice in criminal law. He has practiced for over 35 years in federal bankruptcy court and practiced in family law court, probate and juvenile courts all over in the State of Kansas. He graduated from Bethany College with a degree in Psychology and then went on to Washburn University where he attained a Law Degree. Service to the community was instilled in him at an early age and is still a major part of his law practice and personal life. Mike believes in a FRESH START for everyone!

John Studtmann

John was born in Temple, Texas but has lived in Kansas most of his life after moving to Wichita in 1976. He graduated from Wichita State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting, and then attained a law degree from the University of Tulsa in 1995. John and his brother, Michael Studtmann, have practiced together on and off since John began practicing in 1996. He has experience handling probate matters including estate planning, guardianships, adoptions, family law matters and has an extensive practice in bankruptcy, both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases.
